In most cases you will find pressure washers rated from 1400 to 4000 PSI. get something around 2000 PSI for smaller applications. If you do want to get powerful and tear into something then go for a 4000 PSI.

Accessories are also important. Generally the washer comes with a wand, but you may need an extension if you are cleaning a gutter or higher areas of your home. Also the tips for the wand will give you variations in pressure and expansion of coverage. Think about what type of coverage you might need as well.

Start checking with rental companies such as United Rentals, Lowes and home Depot. Generally the larger companies will have better equipment and plans for rental.

Call ahead of time for rates on the equipment while giving the specifications on the pressure washer and job you need to get done.

Next calculate how long the job should take you to do so you will have an idea on a per day basis what your total will be at the end of the useage period and then reserve it with your credit card so that you don’t drive all the way to the store and its already rented by someone else.
