Ceramic Ceiling Tile
Installing a bathroom ceiling tile, can be tricky and should be done with extreme care. The last thing that you want to do is be installing a ceramic ceiling tile, and have it fall off of the ceiling and hit someone on the head. They are heavy, and can cause a lot of damage.
What are some tricks or tips for installing a bathroom ceiling tile? Well if you are planning to install a ceramic, porcelain, or even granite ceiling tile, using the correct installation method is important to avoid injury. When installing tile above your head, make sure to use the proper safety equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses and gloves.
Before attempting to install ceramic tile on the ceiling, it is important that the ceiling can withstand the extra weight that is going to be added to it. This means you should probably install some kind of cement fiber board such as hardy backer on the ceiling first. Make sure to install it with screws, not nails and make sure that you hit the studs to help provide as much support as possible.
A mastic type glue should not be used when installing tiles on the ceiling, unless they are light weight and small tiles. Mastic takes too long to dry, and allows for too much sagging if installed overhead. The best installation method for ceramic tile on the ceiling is to use a multipurpose thinset.
You will want to mix the thinset a little bit thicker than you normally would mix it. This will allow it to grab onto the ceiling better, and to dry faster lessening its chances of falling. Never stand directly underneath a tile that has just been installed on the ceiling. A 12 x 12 porcelain, granite or ceramic ceiling tile tile covered in thinset can weigh as much as 10 pounds or more. If one was to fall off and hit you in the head, it could kill you so use extreme caution. Once the thinset has dried overnight, continue to clean your grout lines and install grout as you normally would with wall tile or floor tile.

I think Ceramic Tile is an excellent medium to explore both for functionality and design. Ceramic tiling is dense and strong, easy to clean, long lasting and does not absorb smell, water or carry allergens. It is excellent as a bathroom tile and it comes with knowledge it value increases more. I have tiled my whole house which was done by a very good installer Ciciliot a professional in this regards and they did their job very well.
